What Are The Show Notes?
Every day, I’ll send out links to the stories I’ll be talking about on the radio, with a little bit of commentary. You can listen to the show at the Listen Live link above. If you haven’t listened to the podcast version of the show, I focus more on analysis than red meat politics. I hope you’ll tune in.

The Return Of The Likely Voter
The first generic ballot from one of the major news outlet polls to feature likely voters should be a big red flag for Democrats. The ABC News/Washington Post poll has the GOP up +5, which is the latest in a series of polls trending the Republican Party’s way. The CBS News battleground tracker has the GOP up +1, as well. The data from the ABC/WaPo poll isn’t just bad because of the generic ballot, though.
(NOTE: That’s supposed to be GOP+17 on Economy. Not +117.)
The fact that pollsters are now hitting “Likely Voters” more frequently is a good thing, as those are typically far more accurate polls.

“Fascism” Loses Its Meaning
A lot of the American press is loudly claiming that Italy has fallen to fascism once more. Why? Because parliamentary elections there have resulted in a conservative win, with Giorgia Meloni set to be the next Prime Minister. There is an awful lot of panic over her speech, in which she says… some fairly middle-of-the-road conservative things. Nothing extremely controversial. But, nonetheless, they have labeled her and her party fascist.
