And So It Begins… And Ends
If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to read my column from this morning. That’s where we have to begin today.
The Democrats have a turnout problem today. It’s all over the place. In Florida, it actually appears that the Democrats are way behind in blue and swing counties. In Virginia, swing districts for Congress are showing more Republican turnout than Democratic. All over the place, it looks like Republicans are motivated and Democrats aren’t.
And why would the Democrats be motivated? They have not even tried to connect with voters. Rather, they attempted to scare and bully their own base into going out to vote. They did nothing to address the concerns of independent and moderate voters who were worried about those kitchen table issues we’ve talked about so often.
The Final Breakdown
This is the final projection from RealClearPolitics ahead of polls closing, and it looks pretty much like we left it. What’s more, now FiveThirtyEight has predicted Pennsylvania for Mehmet Oz. There are still questions from a lot of folks about Arizona, but I think Blake Masters wins that one. Kari Lake’s strength on the ballot may be enough to carry Masters.
But look at how close New Hampshire is. Yesterday on my show, I said 52 was most likely, 53 is quite possible, and 54 is possible but not nearly as likely. Today, I am closer to thinking that 53 is most likely and that 54 could very well happen. That’s how big the wave is for Republicans across the country.
Make no mistake, though: 54 or more is the kind of apocalyptic event you only read about in the Bible.
