I have been in quarantine since Wednesday afternoon. I was exposed to someone who turned out to have COVID-19, so I missed school Thursday and will miss it today.
Luckily, I was able to get a rapid test on Thursday afternoon and got a nifty sheet of paper saying I tested negative. So I will get to go back to work - which is awesome because I was very worried about my students.
But, I digress.
So, I didn’t realize this was a thing that existed until I was sitting in the waiting room, at the urgent care clinic, waiting to get my COVID test… but boy am I glad I heard it. Somehow, it made everything seem just a little bit brighter.
Cheap Trick did a Christmas version of their own hit, “I Want You To Want Me” , and it is oddly satisfying.
Actually, this also reminds me of the single-greatest mashup I have ever seen, involving the Mariah Carey classic Christmas song and a Childish Gambino video.
It’s Christmas time, and there is so much insanity in the world that somehow these videos make me feel a little more sane. Go figure.
