The Amendments
There are eight constitutional amendments on the ballot. For those of you who have not taken part in early voting, here’s a breakdown from the Public Affairs Research (PAR) Council of Louisiana.
We’ll talk about these today, and I’ll explain why I, in general, am against amendments on the ballot.
Biden Heads to… Florida?
I am not sure why Joe Biden is heading to Florida of all places, but he apparently is. According to CNN, it’s to use “MAGA Republicans” there as a foil to his own party. But that is probably going to have the opposite impact. His part has been the one in charge of the country, and that’s exactly why Florida is suddenly way less a swing state and more of a red state.
Zeldin Leads Hochul?
This is absolutely astounding.
Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin has nudged out Democratic rival Gov. Kathy Hochul in New York’s closely watched gubernatorial race — just a week out from the election, a new poll shows.
The tough-on-crime Zeldin is leading the progressive incumbent governor by 48.4% to 47.6%, according to the Trafalgar Group poll released late Monday.
To quote my former RedState colleague Moe Lane: “DOOM.”
