All The Red Sirens
I had really considered trying to re-write this to look smarter, but nope. I’m just going to link you to Erick Erickson’s breakdown of what, besides the polling, you should be taking note of right now. It’s good.
There is a clip you need to watch, though.
Note, though, that Schumer is wrong in something he says in there. He was apparently told Democrats are leading in the early vote, but it actually looks like Republicans are doing better at turning out.
Even in Louisiana, Republicans are outpacing Democrats in turning out to early vote.
Across the country, black voters aren’t turning up in the numbers they usually do. The young vote is all but non-existant. The Democrats’ base is depressed.
Pelosi’s Husband Brutally Attacked
This story has been developing all day. My RedState colleague, Nick Arama, has been covering it. A lunatic walked into the house, Paul Pelosi grabbed a hammer, and the lunatic assailant took the hammer from Pelosi and attacked him with it. Police have identified the guy, and he appears to be a progressive activist, but we don’t know the attack was politically motivated. We have seen reports that the attacker was demanding to know where the Speaker was.
Two things:
Reporters at national media outlets were very quick to make the attack about January 6, politics, and right-wing violent rhetoric. Without evidence. It does not appear that this was the case.
Where was security? How is the home of the next in line to the Presidency after Kamala Harris unprotected against someone hopping a wall and sliding open a door? This is a strange and horrifying story.
Okay, But… Aliens
And, no, this isn’t about the immigration crisis. There is a Harvard astronomer who is estimating somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 quintillion (that’s 4,000,000,000,000,000,000) spaceships in our solar system.
I wrote about it here, but my main point is this: Don’t make contact, for the love of God.
